Brunch Review // Sumomaya

What’s better than brunch? Unlimited brunch! Set in an eclectic restaurant with pink chairs and a tree in the middle of the restaurant, Scottsdale’s Sumomaya marries Asian flavors with Mexican, for a twist on traditional dishes. Sumomaya’s brunch is especially great for groups. With brunch starting at just $32 per person, with an option to add bottomless drinks for $12, you can bring a group here and be sure to have a ridiculously, good time.

The appetizers came in shareable plates, perfect for passing around family-style. I absolutely loved the idea of the Pancake “Street” Tacos, which plated pancakes as tacos filled with fruit, bacon, whipped cream and honey. Absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed the crispy Sumo Rangoons filled with cream cheese, and the fresh Pomegranate Guacamole.

For an entrée, I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Torta. The dish has fried chicken, Korean chile sauce, pickled veggies, and melted pepper jack cheese. Bite after bite had a kick to it, and it was perfect for a spice lover like myself.

Next time you’re thinking of having a Sunday Funday, definitely check out Sumomaya, their group dining can’t be beat!
