Phoenix Staycations // FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel

As an art lover, it was easy to fall in love with The FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel. Complete with its own art gallery and drag, nude painting titled, “That COSMOPOLITAN Person” in the entryway, I knew I would have a great time at the hotel.

We entered our room and were immediately impressed by the industrial, urban aesthetic. There were double sinks with one in the bathroom and the other in the living room - perfect for a his-and-her stay. The view was beautiful, overlooking Downtown Phoenix, and we could see both Camelback Mountains and Margaret T. Hance Park.

We were also greeted by our Valentine’s Day package! Complete with champagne, chocolate strawberries, and sexy, Sex & Mischief gifts, we were prepared for a night of romance and fun!

For dinner, we ate downstairs at MATCH Restaurant & Lounge. I had eaten at MATCH a few times prior, and always enjoy the international flavors their chefs bring to the dishes. That night we were not disappointed. We started with Charred Wings, which had a sweet heat from the apricot habanero sauce. For my entree, I ordered the Deconstructed Chicken Pot Pie, complete with two large pieces of chicken, a flaky, buttery biscuit, and a delicious gravy of peas, carrots, onions, and herbs. Everything tasted amazing, and paired with original cocktails named after famous artists, like the Monet, a watermelon-based cocktail, and the Van Gogh, a tequila-based cocktail, our dining experience left little to be desired.

By the end of the night, we were exhausted, and I gladly fell asleep in the fluffy, king sized bed. I woke up to breakfast in bed, a hearty compilation of sunny side up eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes - and a perfect way to end our romantic stay.
