Event // Duck Donuts — She Moves PHX

Every time I visit my sister in Hershey, PA, we go to where any cool people would go and that’s Duck Donuts! Imagine my delight when I found out that there was a Duck Donuts opening in Chandler!

Duck Donuts is special in that you can customize your own donut. All the donuts are vanilla cake based donuts, making them extra fluffy and delicious. In three easy steps you can have a wonderful donut! My hubby made an extra special one just for me. First, he started with a coating, chocolate, two, he picked a topping, coconut, and three, choose a drizzle, salted caramel. We call this one “The Norwood”.

Next we tried their specialty items, their breakfast sandwich - Sausage, Egg, and Cheese with Chopped Bacon, and their Classic Donut Sundae: sprinkles and fudge on top of vanilla ice cream and a donut. I loved every bite of both of these creations!

Though Duck Donuts originated on the East Coast, they’re expanding locations nationwide, and we lucky Arizonians are happy to have them. They also have a program called “Quack Gives Back” where they donate and give back to local charities. On January 13th, it’s National Rubber Ducky Day so definitely stop in, purchase a cinnamon donut, and get a free rubbery ducky! And Duck Donuts’ Duck Hatching celebration is January 18th, be sure to put it on your calendar.
